Myth: Ganymede was made a cup-bearer by Zeus who sent his pet eagle, Aquila, eagle, to carry Ganymede to Olympus.
Forward looking Aquarius values their individuality above all and are often the first to jump on any new bandwagon. They tend to be rational and baffled by sentimentality. Though they don’t usually show their feelings (and yes, Aquarius' do have feelings) because they’re so rational, no sacrifice is too great for an idealistic Aquarius when it really matters. Aquarius' live in a world of ideas and want to exchange those ideas with as many people as possible.
Friendship is higher on an Aquarius’ list of priorities than love. Highly sociable, Aquarius loves to be part of a crowd but has few close friends. They don’t like to be pinned down but are completely reliable once you have their attention. Broadminded Aquarius treats everyone as an equal. They accept who people are without trying to change them and will take their time in getting to know people they meet without making any demands or having any expectations.
When they do fall in love, they fall hard and take their responsibilities very seriously. They aren’t concerned about what they should do when it comes to relationships, but what is right for them and the love of their life. Even when in an intimate relationship, Aquarius needs freedom to do their own thing and this can often be the source of problems.
Aquarius finds money dull. There are more important things in life and dealing with paying bills can bore them rigid. However, Aquarius isn’t a big spender and tried to avoid getting into debt. Their biggest financial failing is that they can fall prey to get rich quick schemes as they’re tempted by the idea of getting cash without putting in the effort.
Highly independent, Aquarius is often at their best when working alone. However, their desire for a better world and ability to see how things affect the collective means that they produce the best results when linked to others, working for a common purpose.
If you’re an Aquarius, you need to avoid being too stubborn about your ideas. Also you need to remember that what makes sense to you can seem erratic and strange to others – explaining why you do what you do can make all the difference.
